Abbas Kudrati

Abbas Kudrati brings 25 years of cybersecurity leadership across India, the Middle East, and Australia to his role as Strategic Advisor at Aona AI. He is currently Chief Identity & AI Security Advisor for APAC at Silverfort, where he guides CISOs across the region on Zero Trust, Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR), and non-human identity security. Before Silverfort, he spent over six years at Microsoft as Chief Cybersecurity Advisor for Asia, helping enterprises across the region build resilient security postures. Abbas is also a Professor of Practice at La Trobe University, where he teaches Governance, Risk, and Compliance and mentors the next generation of security leaders. He is a Microsoft MVP, a TOGAF-certified enterprise architect, and the author of several books on Zero Trust, cloud security, and identity. He speaks regularly at AISA CyberCon, Identiverse, RSAC, and other global security conferences. Earlier in his career he held CISO roles at KPMG Australia and Public Transport Victoria, and senior security positions at the National Bank of Kuwait, Ernst and Young, and the eGovernment Authority of Bahrain. At Aona, Abbas advises on AI security strategy, identity risk, and how enterprises should think about governing AI tools across their workforce.
