Overview
Claude Desktop is Anthropic's native macOS / Windows app that runs Claude with elevated capabilities (file system, MCP). The "Code" mode targets software-engineering tasks. Same data-handling profile as Claude Code: governed by Anthropic's commercial terms when authenticated to a paid plan, no training by default, conversation logs on Anthropic infrastructure.
