Aona AI was founded in Sydney in 2023. The founding premise was simple: every enterprise was about to adopt generative AI, and most would skip the governance step entirely, repeating the Shadow IT mistakes of the cloud era, only faster and with more sensitive data.
We started with discovery. Then added policy enforcement and data protection. Today Aona is the Workforce AI Security platform for enterprises. We see every AI tool your team uses, stop the data leaks, and enforce the policies your board needs, continuously, across 10,000+ AI tools.
We raised funding in June 2025 from Antler, Tenity and angel investors. Aona has a SOC 2 Type 2 report. Our small, experienced team continues to develop the product.
