Luma Dream Machine

Launched by Luma Labs in 2024, Dream Machine generates short video clips from text prompts, still images, or reference frames using proprietary diffusion models (Ray, Ray2). It supports camera motion control, keyframes, character consistency, extend/loop, and high-resolution output geared at creative, advertising, and storyboarding workflows. Luma offers Plus ($30/mo), Pro ($90/mo), and Ultra ($300/mo) individual plans; Team and Enterprise business plans (with SSO, admin controls, custom fine-tuning) are advertised as coming soon or available on request. Training-data provenance is not publicly disclosed and the vendor reserves rights to use user content to improve models, creating IP and compliance risk for enterprise footage.

Storage

Hosted in the United States with international sub-processors (Stripe, analytics, hosting); enterprise data residency not offered on self-serve tiers.

Retention

Retained while account is active; deleted or de-identified when no longer necessary, subject to legal, backup, and fraud-prevention holds.

Training on inputs

Per privacy policy, user-submitted images, videos, text inputs and outputs may be used to train and improve Luma's AI models; no self-serve training opt-out advertised.
