Overview
Udio generates full songs (vocals plus instrumentation) from text prompts, supports style presets, extensions, remixing, and stem separation. Plans include a Free tier (daily credit cap), Standard at $10/mo (1,200 credits), and Pro at $30/mo (4,800 credits); there is no advertised enterprise plan and commercial rights are granted on paid tiers. Udio was sued by the RIAA in June 2024 for alleged massive-scale copyright infringement in its training data. Universal Music Group reached a settlement with Udio in October 2025 that includes a licensing framework and a planned joint AI music service, but litigation with other labels and underlying copyright exposure for outputs that resemble protected works remain material enterprise risks.
