Overview
Ideogram, founded by ex-Google Brain and Toronto researchers, built its reputation on legible in-image text and strong typographic layouts. Ideogram 3.0 adds style references, a randomized style library, and improved prompt adherence, offered via a free tier (10 prompts/day), Basic at $7/mo, Plus at $15/mo, and Pro at $48/mo, plus a pay-per-image API (Turbo $0.03, Quality $0.09). For governance, Ideogram grants users commercial rights to outputs on paid plans (Free tier public by default). It publishes a standard privacy policy and terms, but has no published SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA attestations as of early 2026, and retention and training-opt-out controls are not documented at the enterprise level. Treat Ideogram as a creative-team tool, not a regulated-data workflow.
